Wal Pocock is the New President of the MGAFC

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

Hi Fellow Gryphs,

I would like to announce that Wal Pocock is the President of the MGAFC for Season 2007. After the AGM last night Wal Pocock was voted in as the new President. This is the first time that two people have nominated for the job in the clubs history. This is a good sign for the Club that people are willing to put up their hand to take the important Roles at the club. I will still be on the Committee this coming season as Vice President. I will assist Wal in anyway possible as I have had 8 years experience in various committee roles and I still want to see the club reach success.

There will be an Official Announcement for all the Office bearers but here is a list of the Positional Roles.

President – Wal Pocock

Vice President – Mark Graydon

Treasurer – Jeremy Landberg -First time on the committee

Secretary – Jono Healy

Social – Gareth Kent

Sponsorship – Phil Warren

Vafa Member – Mark Graydon

I have really enjoyed my time as President over the last two seasons. I must thank all the people that have helped me over that time especially, Sara Flowerday and Gareth Kent. The entire committee over those two seasons gave me fantastic support and I could not have done the job without them. The coaching staff also showed me great support and also did a fantastic job over the two seasons. I think I have left the club in a state where it can move forward. The club is back in the black for the first time in 4 years and we have a young list of players ready to take this club to success. Please support Wal in his new role as I will and lets work together to get the clubs first taste of success.

Go the Gryphs!!

Wigs.
